Where transparency, mental health, and community meet
What we do
Our practice specializes in compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals navigating the effects of trauma. We understand that trauma can shape how you experience relationships, safety, trust, and even your own body. Whether your experiences stem from childhood adversity, relational trauma, abuse, accidents, medical trauma, grief, or high-stress environments, we provide a safe and grounded space for healing.
Our Approach
We take a trauma-informed perspective in every aspect of care. This means:
Prioritizing emotional and physical safety
Moving at a pace that feels manageable
Supporting nervous system regulation
Building skills for stability before processing painful memories
Respecting your autonomy and choice throughout treatment
We integrate modalities such as EMDR, somatic-based interventions, parts work, attachment-focused therapy, and cognitive-behavioral approaches tailored to each client’s needs. Therapy is collaborative, strengths-based, and culturally responsive.
Who We Work With
We support adults experiencing:
Post-traumatic stress and complex trauma
Anxiety and panic related to past events
Dissociation or emotional numbing
Relationship difficulties rooted in attachment wounds
Shame, guilt, or negative core beliefs
Burnout, compassion fatigue, and high-stress careers
Healing from trauma is possible. Our goal is not just symptom reduction, but helping you reconnect with a sense of safety, meaning, and empowerment in your life.
What to Expect
Therapy begins with an in-depth intake to understand your history, goals, and current challenges. Together, we create a personalized treatment plan. Individual sessions are typically 50–60 minutes, with extended sessions available when appropriate for trauma processing work.
We strive to create a warm, grounded, and non-judgmental environment where healing can unfold safely and at your pace.
-
Individual therapy sessions that address trauma provide a safe, confidential space to explore and heal from difficult or distressing experiences. Trauma can stem from a single event or ongoing situations, and its effects often show up in emotions, relationships, self-esteem, and even physical symptoms. These sessions are designed to help you process those experiences at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
A Safe, Supportive Environment
Your therapist works to create an atmosphere of safety, trust, and collaboration. You are never pressured to share more than you’re ready for. Together, you’ll build coping skills and emotional regulation strategies to ensure you feel grounded before exploring deeper experiences.
What Sessions May Focus On
Understanding how trauma impacts thoughts, emotions, and the body
Identifying triggers and patterns that affect daily life
Developing healthy coping and grounding techniques
Processing traumatic memories in a structured, supported way
Rebuilding self-worth, boundaries, and a sense of control
Approaches That May Be Used
Depending on your needs, therapy may incorporate evidence-based methods such as:
Creative Interventions
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
Somatic or body-centered techniques
Mindfulness and stress-reduction practices
Each treatment plan is individualized to support your goals and comfort level.
The Goal of Trauma-Focused Therapy
The goal is not to relive the past, but to reduce its hold on your present. Through consistent, compassionate work, therapy can help you feel more empowered, regulated, and connected in your life and relationships.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps you process traumatic or distressing memories so they no longer trigger intense emotions. In sessions, you’ll work with a trained therapist using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, combined with grounding techniques, to reframe past experiences and strengthen positive beliefs. EMDR can help with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and phobias, supporting you in feeling more in control and present in your life.
